For the record, I'm a software engineer (grinding Leetcode to get somewhere along the lines of FAANG salary by next year) so I'm definitely not some dude out here complaining and scraping by.

Yet, I can still see how crappy the cost of living in this country and work culture in this country is.

Dude working two jobs and still stretching sounds valid - shyt has been a theme for years.

I knew of an older physics professor at a U.C school who worked a UPS job on the side so he could get the health benefits.

America ain't a country of "culture" like how you'd think of Japan, Mexico, Switzerland, China, etc. are.

Rather, America is basically a tax zone with borders.

They don't want you to leave and really make it out the rat race because they need to stay and tax 40% of your salary every single year and tax every single transaction.

Think of how much people paid in taxes for 20+ years: year after year of sacrifice and hard-earned dollars. Now when everything shut down and their lives were in shambles, after all that tax money they put into the system, the governments spots them with 2 checks for $1k?! Let's also not forget how "crappy" of a product: still crappy traffic system, law enforcement, etc. our tax dollars are "buying".



Like a reply in that thread: you know how much money a single $1 generates after a decade of taxing it?

Why you think they want a bunch of immigrants to come over? Give them opportunities, so they can start taxing them.

Every country won't be under this government, but most of the Western world will be, because of the western world's roots going back to the Western Roman Empire. The leaders in Europe and even the elite in the U.S. are working together to bring this thing back together in the final world government before the anti-Christ to come.

My feeling is the 2030 agenda they have talked about was the plan, but I believe they are trying to get it done before the 2024 election.
