a lot of people really do take it for granted. The average American lives like a king compared to 90 percent of the world

i seen my parents come to this country and go from the bottom and work these tough blue collar jobs and get us to what i would certainly say is a comfortable life, they did it with no help. sometimes i look around and think how we are

their grind is



i will not turn my back on america for this reason. however a lot of the respect I have for this country stems from the kind of parents i had. not everyone has people willing to work so hard to provide for their kids or grows up in the same circumstances.. unfortunately we still have a lot of work to do in this nation to give people the opportunities so that they can move upwards from the generation before them

I'll be honest. Other than the big cities in America (NY, DC, LA, Chicago, Miami, SF, etc)...most of America is a boring pastiche of strip malls, trailer parks, dead malls where 40% of the stores are vacant/closed, highways, farmland, suburbs filled with McMansions that look the same, fast food joints, offices, and warehouses. The only prosperity is in and around those surrounding areas. If you're living in a flyover state, there's really nothing to get excited about other than leaving as soon as possible.

The one thing I will admit though is that when it comes to the diversity of landscapes and climate America's got it all, but that's really it.
