'American Pie 5' is likely, says director Paul Weitz
Paul Weitz has said that he expects a fifth American Pie to be made in the future.
The director of the first film and producer of American Pie 2 and American Reunion stated that while he may not be as involved in the franchise as he used to be, he would always agree to further installments being made.
When asked if he expects a follow-up to last year's American Reunion, he told The Hollywood Reporter: "I'm happy that [the series] keeps on going. I imagine [there will be].
"I think this one kind of benefited from it being seven years since the last one, so there's a curiosity factor."
On what the next film could be about, he joked: "I don't know. Maybe they're in a retirement home."
Weitz added that he always gives his "two cents" to a further installment if the script is good.
He said: "It kind of happens where they tell me about it, and I go 'Neat'. And if they want my two cents, I give it.
"I read the script and I told those guys, who I thought did a good job, I gave them some ideas. Most of them weren't used, a couple were useful."
Last year, Jason Biggs said that he would be interested in making a fifth American Pie film.
Mena Suvari hinted to Digital Spy that a further film may be made, saying: "Hmmm, there just might be. That's all I know for now."
.......and not in a funny way.

but where can they go
