People are in here on the 'demonize the poor because they don't live in huts without a tv' tip. You're clueless. And it's easy to sit here on a forum and pretend shyt is sweeter than it is because you, personally don't have problems.

That's arrogant spoiled ignorant bs. Grpw up.

Bruh, stop...Sam Walton started buying stores with money from his father and brother -
who were rich during the gottdamn GREAT DEPRESSION.

Cmon breh....stop trying to find an excuse for everything. Black people dropped the ball. I'm not here to argue about whether white supremacy played a part or not because I'm trying to get rich nikka. I dont got time for that broke dusty hotep shyt. Black grandfathers in the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s owned their houses, stores and businesses too. Blacks were doing good after Reconstruction even with all the racism which was WORSE back then. It was the black men in the 70s, 80s and 90s who fukked it up. They could've took their grandparents money and compounded it. They chose to sell drugs, join gangs, get high and run out on their kids. Every nikka over 45 years old in New York City, San Francisco and D.C. who used to run the streets back in the 80s and 90s should slap themselves because they could've easily brought one of them houses for nothing back then and have it be worth $2-3 million right now. The black men who are in their primes right now (20s to 30s) can either figure out how to get it or we can sit around acting helpless and defeated and our kids/grandkids are going to say the same shyt about us in 30 years.

I said the same thing. "I came from nothing, therefore my kids can do well"

That's just :hhh: any way you cut it.

Like, some people believe that passing down assets and businesses is a bad thing for your kids. :dwillhuh:

Your legacy doesn't stop when you die if you have kids. Your name and genetics will live on long after your pass. By not doing extra measures that your grandkids will have a better life, is like you don't give a fukk about your existence or the well being of your loved ones.

It's sad man. You can get a life insurance policy for nothing too. Set your kids up.

When I first got into banking, I saw little ass white kids, 5 years old with 10 racks in their account :francis: Black people may not have the same amount of wealth as whites but, we could do it on a lesser scale. We just don't care as a culture. You mean to tell me someone couldn't put aside $20 a week for their kid since birth. By the time the kid hits 18, that's a nice lil chunk of change.

The brothers that were running the streets and gangs in the 70's and 80's were not from these black families with businesses and homes.

They were from single parent families in the projects.

Most black people did not have their own business then. They worked in factories, hospitality/service, or other types of blue collar gigs.

I'm not saying that there weren't any successful black people back in the day. We did marry at a higher rate and were more likely to own homes. But the majority of us were still poor.

Some black folk think that by saving for your kids, makes them entitled and lazy. Like continuing struggle without a goal in itself is a prize. Just sickening how people even rationalize struggle outside of the immediate necessities.

:francis:Same old excuses in here. Nobody's saying you can easily go from being poor to rich. But it is possible to go from poor to comfortable, not "rich" but comfortable.
4 things that i think weighs brothers down is

1- Trying to live above his means.
2- Having kids too soon.
3- Caring too much what people think about him. This is why we flex so much. When you get to a point where your money makes money, you won't feel the need to overcompensate with trinkets.
4- Not reading enough.

And we can't even talk about this without brothers getting mad and defensive. Most of the bros on here who are trying to explain this to you are speaking from experience. We got tired of barely getting by and made some life changes. I was making like 40k but now i make almost triple that. Of course it wasn't overnight, but when we try to tell you guys what we changed to get here, you get mad. Brehs don't mind when white entrepreneurs and investors give advice, but when another nikka tries to do it they don't wanna hear it.

I had to look at what i was doing with my extra money. I was spending too much on expensive clothes and shoes. I cut back. I would go out to eat at expensive restaurants a whole lot. I cut back. I didn't completely stop but i scaled back. Then it became easier for me to save money. Nobody's saying you can't enjoy stuff but you may need to scale back at first. It won't be forever if you're willing to do it now. The key is to cut back so you can save more, then invest and try to increase your income amount. And don't have kids too soon.

And yeah other black people are going to hate on you or not understand why you're doing it at first, but once you have more money, they won't be able to say shyt then.

If you're in here saying you can't cut back, think about how much you have leftover after you pay your bills. What do you spend it on? Ask yourself if you really need it all. There has got to be at least one thing you can cut back on.

I feel like a lot of us buy things to make ourselves feel better about being or growing up poor, but the problem with that is it's not going to solve your problems of being poor. When you're first starting out, you have to decide what you want more, money in the bank or a bunch of trinkets.

Some brehs on here do understand, but outside of The Coli, i think most nikkas still believe in the "American Dream". The American Dream that the white man told you about, where you'll get rich by working for someone else your whole life is a lie, he doesn't even believe it himself:russ: And other minorities have figured this out, that's why they do shyt their own way. The way most white ppl really do stuff is by not having all their eggs in one basket. They preach to you about working hard at your job, but they really believe in making their money (and people) work for them. They might work a job too, but many have investments, side businesses and real estate. A lot of them just don't talk about it, so you won't know about it.

I think most brehs who make excuses won't try until they no longer have a choice. One day you may HAVE to start being more frugal and investing, if you want your life to be better.

"Everything", cuzz? lol

Black people dropped the ball.

We never had the fuccing ball.

I'm not here to argue about whether white supremacy played a part or not because I'm trying to get rich nikka.

If this is true, then fucc the rest of that chit you replied after this sentence because it doesn't matter.

I ain't against you (or anybody else) gettin' breaded, but i'm just being factual. Niccas like yourself need to quit acting like
the only thing holding
us back is lack of this drive you supposedly have.

Bro let me put it to you like this, really you have two options:

1) Continue to sit here and complain and come up with more excuses

2) Do something about your financial situation, no matter how small, and hopefully pass what you have accumulated to others. White supremacy won't stop you from saving and investing money lol.

Your choice dude.
