FOH wit this shyt. You want people to trade their phones in more often, then they need to make it more worth it to upgrade. Stop taking away shyt we use like SD cards without providing suitable replacements like sufficient (TBs) free cloud storage. We need better specs, better hardware, cutting edge technology and features EVERYTIME around...and then make em more affordable. Or just accept that we're not gonna treat these $1000+ devices like they are disposable objects. Note 10+ still going strong.

Had iPhone 11 Pro for almost 6 years and switched to base model 17 this month, it was totally worth the upgrade. No reason to update phones so often, the innovation has plateau for phones. It’s better to wait couple of generations to see any real upgrade

lol fukkin right, I held on to my 8 until the 15 came out and that’s only because the screen was fukked beyond repair and the battery was done for. This 15 gon be with me til the 20 at minimum. I be treating these smartphones like NASA treat deep space satellites.

Majority of people don't even use the new features. I use the same features I used on my Galaxy S7.

Moore's Law gave us enough processing power in phones for most useful Internet shyt to work years ago. It's all window dressing after you can stream high def video and take a good photo.

Consumerism is a con and an economic mirage.

Relatively recent one too. Nobody outside of royal courts was getting a new wagon or axe to keep up with the latest trends in 1800.

Read up on how the factory owners literally invented new pieces of cutlery so they could sell us more silverware... nobody had ever needed four types of fukking fork or a special flat knife for fish, but they told us it was how civilised people lived and we lapped it up with all our pocket money while the genuinely rich laughed at us.

Or how some of Edison's first bulbs lasted years (I think some STILL work) but he decided to mass-produce with tungsten filaments so we'd have to replace them every year and we just got used to it.

Now we got phones with unreplaceable batteries that go to shyt right in line with the repayment plan.

The game isn't gonna change any time soon. Buy what you need when you need it.
