One of two things: student loans or don't know how to budget.

I would argue its this. I know too many people whether middle class, poor or well off who are horrible with finances (no matter the race or ethnicity or education levels).

Its the American (and western world) way to be dumb with money and spend till you can't spend any more then make excuses and lash out like a child when folks ask why you are dumb with money.

But hey we got to keep people dumb and encourage them to stay dumb in order to get them to fuel the economy with all this spending. Ignorance is profitable.

If you had problems with student loans, you used to be able to discharge that debt through bankruptcy, just like any other kind of debt.

One senator lead the way on making certain you couldn't do that anymore.

Today, that same individual is deliberately fumbling his student loan debt "solution" so that you'll feel compelled to re-elect him so he can try again.

It’s not that people don’t know how to budget. Math is simple as fukk and everyone knows what they need to do with their money, generally speaking (in the sense of not spending more than you make). It’s mostly people trying to live lives they can’t afford because of varying reasons, mainly insecurities and comparison culture.
