The most obese States are likely also the poorest and least educated.

I’m not saying these people don’t know how to eat well and exercise. I think there’s a confluence of factors that connect and lead to poorer health outcomes — economic, political, and educational.

As a Texan I’m legit surprised Texas isn’t red. San Antonio alone would put us at red, I’d think.
Texas is pretty well split. Lots of fit people and lots of fat people.

Places with hot summers and good food tend to be fat. Places with lots of alcoholics (I see you Wisconsin) also tend to be fat.

South probably has more athletic people. Colorado got a lot of "outdoorsy" people that are skinny and feel pressure to be thin but that's different from actually being "in shape."
