Amerie didn't have a style, rich Harrison was her producer and also happened to produce crazy in love, so that's why the beats sound similar. Same way you could tell a Neptune and timbaland beat in the early-mid 00's. That's such a small segment in the big picture though because beyonce next three singles were baby boy, naughty girl, and me myself and I, which were all produced by Scott storch and all show no resemblance to her first single.
