This what people don't take into account, boycott the products and these kids don't eat. If anything what we should push for is higher wages given the billions being made by these companies every year.
What you have ignored is the 6 Million who have died in the DRC since the conflict has started. US has propped up the dictators and allowed European/US businesses to strip the resources. This is the cause, not the effect. Their country and economy was destroyed but hey lets just ask for higher wages when they cant have self determination.

Pound of rice will last you at least a week if that is all you eat. That is pretty good. I saw the site you got that number from and unfortunately even at the top of that site if its the same one, they state that economic information related to the Congo is sparse so I don't know if those numbers should be taken as completely right.
Do you hear yourself :dahell:

Shut the fukk up :pacspit:

In the Clouds
here's the catch.
Everyone is crying that these foreign workers aren't being paid enough, yet if they were paid more you would complain that the products are now more expensive to buy.

basically its like this, are you WILLING to pay higher prices for your products in order for those wages overseas to increase?

cuz that is the ONLY thing that is likely to happen. Boycotting won't work, and you sure as hell know these corporations ain't gonna absorb those costs.

Or maybe the CEO's of these companies could compromise with a reduced salary. There isn't any morally sound arguement to be made as to why CEO's make 500 to 700 times children dying in coal mines make. It's just pure disguisting greed.

Who said exclusively? I bought an old computer from a friend. I didnt purchase it from any store that gives it profit to the industry.

You're always on some some "elites" vs us (unite with whites) but now you wanna act all coli militant.:martin:
And I bet your old computer didn't use any natural resources devoid of "exploitation". :mjpls:

Funny you don't bring up any other options or alternatives aside from borrowing your friends razr to post on the coli.

I dont dispute this.

But If that is the issue you want to address why is 'mined by 7 year olds' the headline?

Deflect the argument to the op to compensate for your own short comings. There is no doubt this computer has been used for it, however i didnt buy it from the retailer who recieves profit for the sufferage of others. No one is innocent here i already addressed blood on our hands. I find ironic is ive seen your postings about "cac this and cac that" "white previlage" but when it comes to hitting White Supremacy in their pockets you want to be like :whoa:.

Personally, I would... but then I don't buy the latest shyt, ever. I'm still rocking a Galaxy Samsung S3 from 2012. Don't own an iPad, and my laptop is old as shyt. So if the price were to increase marginally (say 10%), I wouldn't really care since I only buy new electronics once every five or so years.

If I were the type to constantly upgrade my shyt, it would probably bother me.

I buy clothes less than I buy electronics (:sadcam:)
Don't touch my food tho, nikka :usure:.
Electronics, I really don't have any other than a phone, TV, laptop, router, and an old ass iPod. :yeshrug:
I'm not much of a consumer, tbh.

But seriously, tho. Touch my food and we gon' have a problem. :hmm:
