I think you are complicating it breh, Yes there are floods going on, but it is not quite as catastrophic as katrina. The same money and resources that they use to travel and pay for lodging when there is a police shooting is the same money that can be spent here. That same organization they put into marches and protests, making people aware of whats going on, is the same effort and organization that they can put into food and water drives and mobilizing the community for rescue efforts. setting up animal shelters, anything. You're letting them off the hook. When they have proven themselves to be ambulance chasers.

Black Lives Matter isn't the panacea for Black America, nor does it pretend to be. It has a very specific focus.

This expectation that BLM focus on everything from advocacy, to paramilitary training, to now even disaster relief is disingenuous. It's a false expectation intended to dissuade Black ppl from supporting BLM.

Larger, better funded, legacy Black orgs like the NAACP can't even do what you're expecting grassroots, social media-centered BLM to do.

You know this, and so does the man in the video.

If a black-led, equip, funded, and trained disaster relief org is something you feel Black ppl need, well... you're free to start one. Bruh in the video too.

I can respect that, however I disagree. To sum it up that stance says Black Lives Matter. But only in relation to treatment by law enforcement. Which is one of the reasons most black folks don't rock with them. It's the same reason that white pundits are able to label them a terrorist organization. Their greatest claim to fame is causing civil disruption with no viable solutions. Our history has taught us that groups like that will go the way of the dinosaur.

There is no focus on any type of grassroots community involvement. Which lets us know, if not for Soro's backing it is not sustainable.

The Ellen show would be the perfect platform for OP to say as much.
