Palpatine was a bum ass nikka. He spent all those decades plotting this shyt, murking fools, making political moves, learned how to prolong his own life. All for Luke from the streets who had a few months of actual training burn his shyt down with the rebels.

anyways anakin murdering all those sand people was him turning.. that was the first time you ever heard the darth vadar music.. and he admitted he killed women and children too that night.. so that's how it made it easier to kill the jedi kids too

Yeah but the premonitions about Padme didn't start until ROTS. And Anakin never told Palpatine/Sidious about them, yet in the hallway scene (when he finds out Palpatine is Sidious) he says to Anakin, "the power to save Padme". Or maybe Palpatine just had a lucky guess based on their earlier conversations in the movie about death and immortality, and didn't actually know specifically that Anakin was dreaming about Padme dying?

In some strange way it was actually better that he lived. Who would have killed Palpatine and destroyed the empire otherwise? Luke wouldn't have been powerful enough, especially not at the time of ROTJ.
