Cuz now they have legit competition on Sundays. Money May going there after the fight def boosts their status. Also, it's a way to say "thank you" to the guy responsible for the weekend. My understanding is fight weekends are the biggest weekends in Vegas.

This fight weekend was definitely not as big as last Septembers fight weekend..

We got a magnum bottle of belevedere + comped champagne at Wale's performance at Chateau for $600

last year that woulda been $1500 minimum or so

But Chateau needed the tables sold

shyt most clubs on REGULAR saturdays sell 750 ml for $595.. we got a magnum bottle + champagne for that price

not making any excuses, but let me put it in perspective:

having been to rehab once the weekend of a Floyd fight (actually a year to the day, after the canelo joint) and once on a regular sunday (back in the spring), the club should have comp'd Floyd and taken care of the waitress. outside of the allstar weekend they had in vegas, nobody generates the type of money for that city that Floyd does for a fight weekend and rehab for certain reaps troughs of money. cabanas w/ bottle service in front of the main pool started at 5gs at around 11am during the Floyd wknd compared to 1700-2gs during a regular weekend. to actually have him there, probably brought in even more money and its good for business for the hotel to eat that. her beef should be with them, not him.

Exactly. This story doesnt make sense. Floyd is the top draw.the waitress is a fool and should be fired for potentially messing up its business with floyd. Clubs pay him to party at their spots so if he showed up for free he was doing them a favor. That comp was just his appearance fee.
