All I know is this. I was reading the Federation Years book by James Dixon about the mid 90s struggles and there's a whole chapter about Randy's exit and it goes into more depth about why he left than I've seen anyone care to explore. One thing they note was he was beefing with Vince as early as 87 for his dad being left off a house show battle royale with territory legends many of whom were his dad's friends. Anyway long story, short he pretended to be cool with Vince again after incident to play nice but he told Lanny this
