if you are dealing with a solid object, then the most you can have is 1. Now if you take 4/3s and turn it into a mixed fraction, then it becomes 1 and 1/3. It is obviously impossible to have more than 1 and 1/3 of a solid object so yes, it is impossible.

It's like if you take a pizza and start dividing it, then all the individual pieces must add up to 1. It is physically impossible to have 4/3s from one pizza unless you bring in slices from beyond the original one. but yet you will have people saying that bc 4/3s is 1 and 1/3 as an improper fraction, then it would appear that you CAN do it that way, but no, it cannot be done.
