The Coli would explode if Lonzo is sent to the G-League.

The Lakers won't do it though and I do think it will be a bad move.

Send him to the WNBA instead. They need some attention

Congratulations! You just showed everyone why no one would tune into the G League even if they knew the players there.

not just that, you the 2nd pick in the NBA draft and you going to the G-league, hell naw. you know how much time and money was wasted on you just to send you down a notch, and even that isn't guaranteed he'd pan out there also. G League is reserved for 2nd round/undrafted players

naw, ratings wise it would be great to see LaVar pissed off at the game, but from the LAL standpoint it makes zero sense.

We seen Ingram go through this last year

He just needs to get stronger
The difference is there was tell tale signs of things you know Ingram would be able to do “IF...” yada yada yada. Basically seeds for improvement. There’s not a lot of feasible signs of improvement for Ball right now. He has never had a developed game outside of breakaway dunks and stepback Js. He wasn’t a good finisher then and basically can’t finish with a breath of contesting air going against him now. There’s not a spot on the court that you can point to and say he’ll feast there, even with more weight. At some point the issue stems from the fact he has no skill set. He’s a lot like a MCW in terms of scoring ability

I think Thabeet got sent to the d league but that was the year after he got drafted.

naw he went to the G-League 7 years after he got drafted. I forgot about him, and he still sucks :mjlol:

Well I stand corrected, Lonzo going isn't too farfetched :manny:

Except MCW shot 40% FG and 31% 3PT for his collegiate career (2 years)

Ball shot 55% FG and 41% 3PT

So theres time for adjustments and improvement for ball.

He needs to re-adjust his muscle memory on his shot to compensate for the distance differential of the NBA 3pt from the college 3 pt

Idk if he should come off the bench because this nikka Clarkson doesn't promote ball movement at all. Maybe if we signed someone like Deron Williams or something then we can bring Zo off the bench. Nonetheless, even if he starts he's averaging like 33 mpg right now....that needs to be reduced to like 25-27. Some games he looks mad comfy out there and other games he looks shook as fukk. And no confidence in his shot. Take a little pressure off him for now and ramp it back up for the 2nd half of the season. I mean shyt Clarkson himself was a way different player the 2nd half of his rookie season vs the 1st half

Even if he learns the game eventually and fixes that monstrosity of a jumper, is something like 14 ppg 7apg 6rpg with mediocre shooting percentages and average defense (and I'm being generous with his ceiling here) really worth the #2 pick in a stacked draft?
:francis:
Alot of young players can't shoot but I'm really surprised at him missing layups and not getting to the line. The Lakers bought into the Lavar hype and made gave Lonzo the keys to the franchise and made him the center of their marketing and promo champagne. :snoop:Here's a thought, treat him like an actual rookie. Bring him off the bench and earn his way up. Get his confidence up and try to ensure his success and if he still doesn't show promise then you start to worry about his future.
