Missouri man charged with killing cousin after fight over $45 debt
A 27-year-old man told St. Charles police he shot his cousin after an argument Saturday evening.

ST CHARLES, Mo. — A St. Charles man has been charged with second-degree murder after he confessed to shooting his cousin.
According to the St. Charles Police Department, the shooting occurred Saturday around 8:30 p.m. on the 2500 block of Chesstal Street.
When officers arrived, they found 26-year-old Joseph Lacombe lying in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A .40 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun was recovered from the scene, according to police.
Officer’s identified the victim’s cousin, 27-year-old Lamont Lacombe, as a person of interest. During an interview with police, Lamont Lacombe confessed to shooting Joseph Lacombe after a dispute over personal items and a $45 debt that was owed to the victim.
The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney charged Lamont Lacombe with murder in the second degree. He is being held at the St. Charles County Department of Corrections on a $100,000 cash only bond.
