You don't have this problem when it comes to men. The biggest thing they'll ask for is a PS5. Get them that and you're guaranteed to get some play.
I think a grown ass adult with a grown ass adult job making grown ass adult money asking for gifts is some derelict type shıt.
If you're really about your purpose then 1) you should be able to afford all of your needs and whatever wants that fit into your budget, 2) the things that really define us and the lives we leave behind aren't things that anyone can buy for you anyway.
Lastly, what sense does it make for me to buy you something you might want or need, and for you to buy me something that I might want or need, when we can just take our own money and buy the things for ourselves THAT WE KNOW WE WANT OR NEED???
Spontaneous gifts are one thing, especially if you're trying to introduce something to someone else's life that you know can potentially benefit them but they just haven't been exposed to it (or exposed to it properly) yet. Those are sweet and come from the right source of motivation. However, giving in to buying gifts because on one hand advertisements are telling you non-stop this is what you have to do right now and on the other hand is the stress from letting your adult loved ones down ain't the move and is truly as insincere a gesture as can be.
People up in arms all year about greedy corporations while giving in to commercial culture en masse during the holidays will never not be illogically weird and stupid to me. None of that shıt makes sense
