I remember a story several years ago about a woman who had a fully grown Chimpanzee as a pet. She gave it anti depressants and when her friend came over it clawed out her eyes...

Animals are going to be animals brehs.

Siegfried and Roy loved their Siberian tiger... didn't stop it from crushing his skull :francis:

Keep animals as pets is you want brehs, just don't be surprised when they act like animals
Well especially non domesticated animals like those.

The chimp didn't recognize the woman because she got a haircut, thought he was protecting his owner from someone he'd actually known and liked for years.
Tore her face off. Her eyes, nose, hands, lips and ears were severed. Lost the bones in the middle of her face and some brain tissue.

Chimps are 3x as strong as a human male. The get more aggressive as they age. They are smart as hell, have opposable thumbs, use tools and are good at mimicking human behavior :rudy:
:mindblown: sounds like a great "pet". They shouldn't be treated like cute hairy children or domesticated pets.

That tiger was actually trying to protect Roy. :sadcam: Cats "carry" their young to safety, using their teeth, on the nape of the neck.
Cats will cat whether large or small and animals often treat their humans like a member of the pack/litter.

It's up to humans not to anthropomorphize animals and act accordingly.

So you think that old ass man should have fought of 2 attacking pitbulls without any weapons? Sure Kid.
Do you think his old self would have been running in circles if it was two 15 year old swinging on him. He would tapped in his inner stinkmeaner swatting his cane at those ruffiens but when it comes to animals reguardless of size people always assume the worst cause they're afraid to get bit.

This is the type of scary attitude that causes people to jump when they see a mouse. It's a dog not a tiger. You should as a man be able to beat a dog.
What about women, children, the handicapped, the old, the infirm...?
And who's walking around prepared to defend themselves from a damn dog attack?

And once a pit clamps down good luck getting it to let go. You are not faster, you are not stronger, your will is not greater. You can't beat one alone unless you have a weapon.

I've owned dogs all my life and would never own a pitbull because I know how dangerous they can be. I currently have an 80 lb Lab mix and we were at an off-leash beach in sf. A pitbull came over and ended up playing with myself and dog while his owners chilled on the beach. The dogs got along great and played around for about an hour. When we packed up to leave the pit came over and just snapped with no warning and attacked my dog I ended up picking up a piece of drift wood and beating and kicking the pit and nothing phased it luckily the owner was able to run over and get control of the dog but for a 60 lb dog able to take hits with a log, punches and kicks from a man that is 6'4 and 300lbs without being phased just proves how dangerous the breed can be. Once they lock on there is very little beyond killing it that will get it to let go.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
New York woman arrested after pit bulls maul man
By Ray Sanchez and Lorenzo Ferrigno, CNN

Updated 8:11 AM ET, Sun September 13, 2015

    • Francesco Bove, 62, was mauled by pair of pit bulls, police say
    • Dog owner Cynthia Oliver, 55, arrested on assault and reckless endangerment charges
    • Bove was read his last rites but survived
New York (CNN)A pair of pit bulls left Francesco Bove so badly mutilated that a priest read him his last rites outside a New York church.

"I think I'm going to die," the bloodied 62-year-old artist told the priest, Bove's son recalled Saturday. "But the priest made him promise that he will fight until the end."

The gruesome attack Friday was captured on video from the window of a tenement in the Bronx. The pit bulls are seen clamping onto Bove's arms with their jaws, shaking their heads violently, dragging him several feet toward the curb.

Good Samaritans try to stop the assault -- swinging a chain at the animals, spraying them with water. They attempt to encircle Bove, but the dogs swerve around to continue the attack. Still, the people probably helped save Bove's life.

"I got to the hospital and he was in pieces," Bove's son, Anthony Bove, said, describing gaping holes in his arms, a severed ear and the other split in half, and lacerations all over his body.

The horror began when the dogs' owner, Cynthia Oliver, 55, exchanged words with the victim, said NYPD spokeswoman Detective Annette Markowski. Oliver was holding the pit bulls and dropped the leash, she said. The dogs attacked.

But Anthony Bove said his father told him there was no altercation, no words exchanged.

Francesco Bove was walking to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church when one of the dogs pounced, followed by the other, according to the son.

"The dogs started biting," Anthony Bove said. "He's trying to push them away. They overpower him."

Oliver was taken to a hospital for a psychological evaluation before she was arrested on eight counts of assault and two counts of reckless endangerment, Markowski said. It's unclear whether she has an attorney.

In the video, another man steps in to help after Bove is knocked to the ground. The man uses his hands and legs, trying to keep the dogs at bay, but the animals find their way back to Bove.

The good Samaritan is knocked down. Screams are heard. "Let him go!" someone yells.

At least eight people on the street try to help as the pit pulls drag Bove away from the small crowd.

A woman can be heard off camera. It seems she is frantically calling 911. "These two dogs are outside attacking this man!"

One man is seen firing a stream of water at the dogs with a hose. Bove lies in a pool of blood.

"Hurry up, these dogs are attacking a man!" the woman yells off camera. "He's in the street bleeding!"

Police said Bove and the first man who jumped in to help -- an unidentified 46-year-old male -- were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital. The younger man, who suffered lacerations on his arms, was later released, according to Anthony Bove.

Francesco Bove, an artist and restoration expert from Brooklyn, is in stable condition after undergoing surgery, according to his son. His severed ear was reconstructed. He will have another operation on Monday.

"My father joked, 'If those were two lions, I wouldn't have made it,'" Anthony Bove said. "He's a really tough guy."

The elder Bove suffered nerve damage in his hands and hasn't been able to move his fingers, according to the son.

"He's an artist and does high-end restoration," Anthony Bove said. "He's very passionate about his art. If he couldn't move his hands I don't know how he would take that psychologically."

The pit bulls are now in custody of animal control authorities, Markowski said.

That worries the Boves, who own a pit bull named Gina as well as five cats.

"My father feels terrible that the dogs are probably going to be put to sleep," Anthony Bove said.

"The pit bull is not an inherently evil dog. But ... these pit bulls might have been trained as guard or attack dogs. He remembers the dogs licking his blood off the ground. They wanted to finish the job. That's very disturbing to him."

and as you see... in BOTH cases, it's the fukking owner

why are you letting your dogs off the leash?

why are you 55 trying to control two dogs on your own?

why are you at the beach letting your dog play with strangers?

why is your dog not trained to be around other dogs and people?

these are things taught to good pit owners from birth... socializing them with as many strangers as possible, from a pup age... is the first damn thing they teach you about them... so they are used to it by the time they can snap necks

How many pitbulls/rottweilers have you fought? :stopitslime:

Generally speaking , If a dude loses to a pit thats literary less than half his size the that nikka deserves it. The nikkas manhood was tested and he failed.

:martin:

Man I don't even think you could beat a racc00n. These animals will fight you in ways you can't even imagine. Claws and teeth >>> fists.

Fortunately man was smart enough to invent blades and bullets

The fukk?

Humans aren't built to take on dogs in hand to hand combat. You know how hard it is to even train for a fight against a 3 foot, ball of lightning that has reflexes far faster than you and a mouth full of razor sharp knives that can clamp on you in a split second and then YOU LOST.

if you don't have a blade or something the second a dog, like that, bites your leg then you've lost. They're dragging you to the ground and once the leg they'l grabbed is mangled, they're going for your face.

According to yesterday's article it seems like the owner didn't sic the dogs on him, she just couldn't control them. She feeds them raw meat and they have already killed 2 dogs in the neighborhood.

Look I do agree it's the owners fault, but why do pits seem to be the only ones who end up with bad owners? I never heard of no collie or lab or St Bernard (besides cujo) attacking people on the regular. We hear about pitbull attacks at least 5 times a year.
