44 bricks...acre shaker
Did he get shafted for some money or something?

nah i mention it before... 3000 didnt let the industry destroy the being of outkast..

outkast was on a helluva run..until they crossed over with hey ya..a song prior to the album release..dre didnt wanna fukk with...but big boi insisted...

they both dropped singles...both moved..but hey ya had peckerwoods hooked..

whenever outkast got booked to do any late night shows or whatever...they wanted hey ya...and big boi got the back burner..

all the awards shows...it was all about stacks n hey ya...the last award show they did it was either billboard or the american music awards..

dre decided not to perform hey ya..instead he did prototype...got off the stage n let big perform...he pissed alot of execs off..they forced em to do hey ya..and when finally came out..he was like for the 1000th time...

after that he kinda stop showin up for em..

then when idlewild was bein promoted..he pissed letterman and leno off...because he literally stopped performing.. i remember when they 1st did morris brown on letterman...david was like so u not performing nomore...dre was like nah..big has a single...morris brown..dope ...went to commercial...

came back..big did one verse of morris brown...end of show..earliest i ever seen david letterman end a show..lollkhlkh

when jive got outkast when arista folded..

they thought they were gettin hey ya outkast...sb/lb went diamond...they thinkin they struck gold..and was forcin outkast to recreate the diamond record..

they didnt...big was plannin on goin solo...he had that chico dusty album ready...jive refused to even put it out..had royal flush n that song with mary j...3stacks was focused on his cartoon n soundtrack..

yet jive was forcin dre to get in the studio for his solo...solo never saw the light of day...he tell em his potna album is dope..put it out..they didnt..big was shelved..

big said fukk jive..went to grand hustle...jive sent letters lettin ti n the other nikkas know..that album cannot drop..or they will lose some real bread..if anything dealin with outkast the group ends up on the album...

grand hustle shelved big because they was scared..

big gets to def jam...samething happen...big drops the album..minus royal flush, the mary j blige album..or lookin 4ya w/ stacks n sleepy brown

anything 3stacks voice..was removed..but he could produce everything he wanted for big..

so dre not being the smokey robinson, ronald isley, beyonce, justin timberlake, rkelly, sisqo of his group...

alot of fans turned on em for it.., when they dont realize..the industry could have fukked up outkast as a whole if 3000 got greedy..n went the solo route n left big behind..

i always respected stacks for what he did... he saw the bullshyt..n thru the industry n the label... show money was good yeah could have made lots of it...but u never heard outkast hurting for money..

big eventually saw what dre meant when he decided to do what he did ...how jive treated him...thats why we never got an outkast album on jive outside of idlewild..

not too mention...bun-b n pimp c were jive slaves for yrs... why u think jive never put out pimp n bun solos..and why they went to rapalot

jive has always been a for the moment label...pimp gets locked up they didnt even fukk with bun...pimp get out...all of sudden they pushin ugk...

outkast will do another album..but on their terms..

dre said he will never perform again..he has done 20shows this yr alone..in different countries..not missin a beat...

Honestly 3000 seems like a guy in the league that is there because he has the ability, but its not really his love. The guy who wanted to play golf, but could not afford the membership and course fees, so he played basketball instead. Meh, time to move on.

Like I said b4

I just hope they release they unreleased music. Cuz Big Boi did say they have a lot and they have that Pimp Trick Gangsta Clique stuff too that they can release

What's this all about :lupe: ....did they make a satirical side group based off that skit...that could be dope

And from the jump I assumed that summer reunion tour was purely a cash grab...i have no idea obviously what their pockets are looking like, but I just assumed that big boi needed the cash (strikes me as more of your classical rapper big spender and didn't have as many other things going on like Dre did...the big features, the movie roles, the endorsements, etc) and dre FINALLY agreed to tour because he felt bad about leaving literally tens of millions of dollars on the table by not touring SB/TLB ...he pretty much explicitly spelled it out on that Tip "I'm Sorry" track

And this the type of shyt that'll make you call your rap partner
And say I'm sorry I'm awkward, my fault for fukkin' up the tours
I hated all the attention so I ran from it
fukk it if we did, but I hope we ain't lose no fans from it
I'm a grown-ass kid, you know ain't never cared about no damn money

Clearly his heart wasn't into the tour and i actually think it hurt chances of there ever being another proper Kast album...on some "aiight...i went on tour and we cleaned up that summer, so my hands are cleand and it's officially over" type shyt

Dre is a coward and a fraud of a musician.

He loves the idea of himself as some kinda Sly Stone/Jimi Hendrix free spirit musician who just feels music.

But where's the fukking music? Where's his Electric Ladyland? Where's his There's a Riot Goin' On? Stop hiding behind these vague promises of an album and just cook.

But he can't. Because at the end of the day all he is is a RAPPER. He's not a great musician or poet or singer songwriter. He's a fukking rapper. No amount of struggle guitar solos on Rick Ross albums or dressing like an off-brand member of Parlimanet will change this. And deep down he knows this, this is why he's produced no music in a decade besides the odd 16 bars for Drake or Weezy.

Outkast bout to shut the whole city down this weekend tho. met 3 Stacks over the weekend. In a club that held no more than 100 people. real dude. Stayed the whole time dolo and was cheering for folks from the crowd like a regular person. It was really dope to witness. In my experience, it's the really really dope rappers that get bored with that shyt after a while and want to branch out. Your heart has to be in it breh.
