if bro wanted to avoid dropping a rap album because critics and fans would be too harsh, wait to he has to deal with jazz and ambient music heads....those mfs don't play...they're as elitest as it gets

and he could've dropped the most mid hip hop album imaginable and it would've still got praised. we see it with artists who drop long awaited albums, shyt always get's treated kindly (and sometimes overrated). look at d'angelo. when he finally dropped black messiah critics raved about it. and i liked that album but it certainly was no voodoo. but that shyt got 5/5 and 10/10s across the board. mfs even pretended that Compton weedplate Dre dropped was nice
