We literally have a thread right now with people saying they barely listen to rap anymore and mainstream rap is dead. It's cool for listeners to move on from/outgrow rap but it's not cool for rappers to move on from rapping

When did he do that? He literally said he loves listening to the new generation and hip hop is about the youth introducing a new sound. His position has always been personal. He never said old rappers should hang it up. He just feels like he doesn't have anything left to say because his life isn't interesting and when he was rapping he always wanted to focus on his current experiences.
