I wouldn't :camby: that statement, AZ is nice AF.

Prime to prime I'd take Prodigy 95-99 over Andre. :yeshrug:

It's a better comparison too because it was group work.
Prodigy was easily better than 3000 in their primes. :myman:

Besides the point..shyt wasnt a hip hop album..dont count im my book when discussing hip hop artists..especialy one that didnt do any solo work outside of a non hip hop album that he released as a part of a team..
Prodigy was easily better than 3000 in their primes. :myman:

Now we finally disagree on something

3k is my #2 and Nas is my #3, but Nas's longevity and tons of classic solo material gives him the overall edge. Both all time greats.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I prefer Andre because he's way better at layering metaphors.

Nas is just like a straight spitter with no sort of comparable depth
This is wrong as fukk on so many levels...Nas is just a straight spitter?..do u even listen to Nas or even get the point people fukked wit him in the first place?...I would list songs and lyrics but fukk it..smh..lol

Same album?..so Illmatic sounds like It Was Written?..those albums sound like I Am?...I Am sounds like Nastradamus?..Nastradamus sounds like Stillmatic?..Stillmatic sounds like God's Son?..God's Son sounds like Lost Tapes...Lost Tapes sounds like Street's Disciple?..Street's Disciple sounds like Hip Hop Is Dead?..Hip Hop Is Dead sounds like Untitled?..Untitled sounds like Distant Relatives?..Distant Relatives like Life Is Good?...its ok to have criticism...but atleast have the shyt be based on fact...but one of Nas' main criticisms is that he's so random when it comes to the sound of his albums...one of the most versitile artists when it comes to that type of shyt...which is also why his fanbase is so polarized...

Finally someone who understands this :blessed:

Kanye for some reason gets all the damn credit for doing this (usually cuz he goes far out left field and drops some weird shyt like Yeezus) but every Nas album is sonically different from each other.
There's a different vibe, theme, and sonic landscape on every Nas album for better or worse.
The only albums that come close to sounding similar in some parts is I Am... and Nastradamus and even then there's a reason for that.

These nikkas is something else. It's like they forget the amount of flack Nas got for IWW alone because it was so different from Illmatic.

The same album, nikka none of Nas albums sound the same. Nas has touched on all types of subjects and done more concept songs than Andre 3000 over the last "13 years". U.S. domestic and foreign policies, fatherhood, divorce, braggadacious raps, aging, inner city struggles, status of hip hop, label politics, personal struggles such as his mothers death, relationships, religion, feuds with other rappers, political content, ancestry, Africa all topics Nas has touched on.

Nas has told stories backwards, rapped in the perspective of a woman, told stories before birth and after death, biographies and autobiographies. His albums have sounded all types of ways from the reggae influences in Distant Relatives, to the pianos and neo soul sounds of The Lost Tapes, to the classic old school samples modernized in Life is Good.

Dre doesn't have enough solo material, dude has one album and it's more of a funk album. :camby:
