Nah...his understanding of team defense is woefully bad too. Stan had to bench him against Brooklyn because he kept losing Lopez on flair outs and over-helping and not being able to close while Lopez kept lighting him up from the outside. After the last Lopez bucket Stan jumped out his seat, damn near had a stroke and benched him for the rest of the game. He's slow to understand what's being told to him on the fly and can't process it well enough to let his natural ability allow him the defender he should be. He's not even 21 yet so even if Stan gives up somebody will think they can turn him in to a star.

He's a great team defender and one of the reasons why Pistons are top 10 defensively (along with KCP), his rim protection itself is horrific though. It makes no sense, he's got the wingspan/reach to be elite, and the fact he's a good team defender yet a terrible rim protector doesn't add up.
