The whole concept of luck in philosophy basically means accidents of birth - things that you have that have nothing to do with your effort. The whole idea of anyone being able to be a success ignores the fact that it takes other people a considerably greater amount of time and effort to do it. Is it any surprise that most of these tech guys come from upper middle class home at minimum? Somehow I don’t think Mark Zuckerburg is dropping out of Harvard to work on Facebook if he is the first one on his family to attend college.

You seem to not understand difference between personal goals/actions and, collective social policy.

Obviously as an individual you try your hardest with whatever hand you are delt. But as a collective the only way our entire community can be lifted is through social/economic policy.

This is the gist of Malcolm’s entire existence. You posting his videos, it seems you would understand the very basis of what he stood for.

In America the overwhelming majority of wealth comes from either the legacy of slavery or things like the G.I. Bill. I.E. “social/Economic policy”

That’s how it works here. It’s public policy. No amount of bootstrap pulling can change that.

There is different levels of success. Everyone can’t create Facebook or Amazon. But think about this, why not learn to market to the users of Facebook or sell to the customers of Amazon? Anyone can do it if they focus and not distracted. The question is not how to be successful it is who is successful and how can I capitalize myself. Google will make anyone rich.
