We signed Curry for pennies because of his ankle history. Because of that the only dilemma we have ever had was whether we were going to sign Klay or Barnes long term and its looking like Barnes will be the one that gets traded. For all we know we will parlay Lee and Barnes into kevin Love, regardless we arent in a position where we will lose any player without gaining something in return. This front office knows what it is doing.
The numbers Barnes put up in the playoffs along with his high school hype is enough to intrigue GM's around the league. Barnes upside is yet to be determined but one might come to the conclusion that the less playing time increases his value so he cant be exposed. Lee is who he is but the hope is that Minny knows Love wants out thus they trade him for whatever they can get. Im not even sold that we are in the running for Love im just putting hypotheticals out there. Lee's contract sucks but it has no bearing on the teams future. Klay and Barnes is an OKC Harden situation the other contracts on the team are irrelevant.
