nikkas keep acting like Iggy is a role player :heh:

He started every game his career before this year, was the man on a shytty Philly squad for years, came to Denver and immediately put them in PO contention when their D ranked up, put the beats on GS that year when everyone on Denver got injured and GS couldn't run offense on his side of the floor, and now showed up with that very same team by making one of the best players in league history look mortal. The main reason they didn't get blown off the court was that 1 man.

But cats that never watch NBA ball except when the playoffs are on really think he is a role player :pachaha:

Yall stay exposing yourselves:mjlol:
His performance in the Finals doesn't change the fact that he's still a role player. I suspect this convenience of putting him above Curry is similar to this post -
iggy deserved the MVP. I'm glad curry's frontrunning didn't get rewarded.

to what degree are you prepared to argue Lebron deserved none of that? :ld:
Let's put it like this - it mentally dismembered them from weighing on any reasonable scale, what impact Curry had in the Finals. It's not as if he's some insignificant role player whose contributions were overlooked by the powers that be. We're talking about arguably the best player during the postseason, who was #1 in ppg for 75% of the playoffs and is the current regular season MVP, not getting a single vote.

It's a subplot that strays so far off course that it forgets one of its protagonists - one whom it took all season long to develop - in favor of a tempter who they just chuck in during the third act for a twist that serves a purpose only of its own. Curry family shots all throughout the playoffs = red herrings. Then you've got dudes on this board acting like a last minute plant and payoff actually makes sense.....

I guess people's agendas will make them believe anything. :ld:

Has any NBA Finals MVP not made the HOF (excluding current players)? Does this Finals MVP put Iggy in HOF talks? :lupe:

I would have never thought he would be close to a HOF guy but having a finals MVP on the resume has to atleast kinda put you in the conversation right?

Cedric Maxwell isnt, also depends on if Chauncey Billups gets in.

of course the title counts, it just means he wasn't the best player on the floor - as is the case with Kobe those 3 years with Shaq

He was the best player for the warriors though. Iggy was getting open shots because the cavs were focused on curry

I think Billups will get in eventually, he has some pretty impressive accolades. Iggy is probably closer to Maxwell, but even then Maxwell won two titles and never got in. So I doubt he gets in.

Another interesting stat -

81.5 percent of Iguodala’s scores versus Cleveland were assisted. The nearest defender on all but nine of his 37 made field goals was Mozgov, Thompson or 34-year-old James Jones. Those stats, obviously, have the fingerprints of Curry and Green all over them.

But let @LV Koopa tell it, Iggy isn't a role player on this team.
