Talking about the promoter issues he had, which sidelined his career for a bit. The only thing I do remember that came out from all that, was whenever I saw the SOG moniker, all I could think was the Son of Goossen name someone on here came up with.

Floyd's resume is not that far ahead of Ward's and Floyd got 18 more fights than Andre

He's a great boxer but there was only a handful of times i was actually impressed with his performances, before Kovalev II,last time i was
with him was the first 8 rounds of the Froch fight.
He has good skills though & most importantly always got the W in any form of fashion....something you don't get with boxers now days.

but he gets results. He shouldve unified with Adonis thoNobody dissed Mosley though, or any of Mayweather's other opponents (outside of Baldomir, that's a totally different situation). And Mayweather didn't even really "dead" anything; he was better than Mosley and showed it. I think he would've beaten Mosley years earlier, just like I think Floyd probably wins all of his fights with the guys he beat even if he had faced them at their best.... but he didn't. It's not about anybody not being good, it's about y'all conveniently using this "Hall of Fame" thing to dismiss other fighters (Ward in this case) as though he was facing these guys at their absolute peaks or primes or something when he wasn't.
And you may be able to argue Zab Judah at his best was better than Chad Dawson at his best (Zab's my favorite fighter but it's debatable). But Floyd was fighting Zab post the Kosta KO and the Baldomir loss. You can't argue "Don't mean imma forget that" in reference to Mosley being ranked #3 when he fought Floyd then try to downplay what Ward has done. It's not genuine.

u forreal? Go back and read my post again. Mosley was ranked #3 in the p4p rankings. It was a legitimate super fight and people were praising Mosely. After the fight it became, "Floyd fought Mosley too late," and "Shane was too old" etc. That is what I meant when I said he deaded that.

I think if GGG beats Canelo in the 2nd fight, there'll probably be a trilogy. If GGG wins the 3rd fight too, then Ward will come out of retirement to fight him at a catchweight. The hype would be there and it would be light work for Ward.
Otherwise he should just stay retired. People were speculating about him continuing to go up in weight.....man, fukk that.

Always respected him. Along with mayweather, smartest boxer in the game. Loved how he eventually solved all his opponents.
