“Coach Jackson was more with the motivational stuff,” Bogut said. “Coach Kerr is more straight to the point – ‘This is what we have to do to win and let’s go do it.’ There’s no, ‘Rah, rah,’ to get motivated, or quotes or stuff like that.”

Read the sh!t and Im still trying to find the "jabs" :what:
He simply stated that they have different approaches.

Still not a jab at Jackson.

So wait, If your son goes up to his mom and says "I'm much better at math thank to you, mom" will you take offense to that? Just because you compliment one doesnt mean it's an automatic diss to the other

So he likes to befriend his players and provide motivation for them and he has a simplistic working knowledge of the game

Sounds like he would be a good youth league coach.

Then again, hes a preacher. Not always a good idea to leave preachers around children

So why did Steph fight to keep him? Because he don't want to win?

Coaching is different based on the person but doesnt mean any of them is wrong. Jackson is a great motivational speaker but not necessarily a great teacher of bball
  1. Phil jackson is a great motivator but not great at teaching technique. He leaves that to his assistants (Tex Winter and others)
  2. Larry Brown are great at teaching technique but not as good at motivating players.
Not all players are the same. Some players like to be coddled. Some like it straight. I prefer a boss who tells me "you fukked up. Get it right. Do x, y,z" over the one that tells me "Hey <name>, good job today but we can still improve on it . Let's get together and see how we can do that". But i also understand that not everyone is built like i am.

And remember this: You can criticize someone without it being a "jab". THe other day i was in an employee townhall meeting with the CEO of my company and we all criticized him about the way a certain deal went down. It's no jab at him. He's a great guy and most of us would run through a wall for the guy. But when he fukks up we cant just sit there and say "good job lets just try to do better next time".

Stephs a bible thumper and sometimes players get close to coaches and can't see its time to move on especially if he's doing all he can do for his individual career. Again, if steph vouched for his Ex and O's then I might be wrong?

OG's like Jermaine O'Neal also vouched for him and he was in the league for a minute.

Fair enough. Like I said I never personally liked him as a coach but if plays liked him as an actual coach and he was capable not just motivator then they were wrong for getting rid of him :yeshrug:

How far you think they going in the playoffs next year?

I don't know follow GS like that but everyone is saying they're better than last years team. Thompson has apparently grown and so has Curry, so far it looks like the front office did the right thing, no? I mean It is only 10 games in.

Nepotism and favoritism exist for a reason. Steph liked Jackson as a friend so he may be more forgiving of his shortcomings.

I had some coaches who were behind the curve but they tried hard and were cool people so there isn't a huge push to get rid of them. As long as the right people are playing and the players feel empowered, getting outstrategized doesn't usually lead to mutiny.

Steph was upset at the time but I doubt he misses him now.
