There was a lot of talk about Mark Jackson - and I don't think he's a bad coach - but this team is essentially the same roster, and he's using it better AND they are playing better.

Well you know the NBA is selling stories and they played up the preacher coach a lot, and talked about him being a great motivator. So I'm sure they edited in only the motivational part and took out the X's and O's part.I remember last year in the playoffs they would show Mark Jackson talking to his team during a timeout and then immediately show Doc Rivers doing the same.....the difference in the two was embarrassing

I've only seen one and a half games of them so far and they a look a lot more cohesive offensively. However, will it translate into a playoff push to the WCF or Finals is a totally different matter. We'll see tho

Our bench is better. We have no backup guards last season and Iggy missed significant time early in the season.
Your bench is a minor upgrade or role players. Basically fits into standard deviation. And while iguodala missed few games early, they also lost the games he played in. On top of that... Iggy is a moderate player at this point. Mainly contributing on defense, and moving the ball. His shooting has cratered. Plus last season you got minutes from David lee, this year you do not. However, your starters and significant player minutes are all about the same. Barbosa doesn't qualify as an upgrade. Livingston is a solid backup, but that's it.
It's the same basic team. It is playing better for Kerr. There is no shame in that, unless you sold Mark Jackson as an elite nba coach.
Its not that serious. Players do this all the time. No need to make it racial.
After awhile players become fatigued by a coach and his ways, and just want something new. You'll hear how they welcome a players coach after years of being coached by a hard nosed disciplinarian, and vice versa.
The warriors and kerr are in that honeymoon stage so everything is all love --- especially 'cause they're playing so well.
Plus this is p.r for the organization. The warriors made a questionable move getting rid of Jackson, so you know they're eager to let the world know they were right, and everything is working out perfectly.
And Im sure Jackson wearing his religion on his sleeve wore real thin with some of the players who aint into all that.
