It shows the hypocrisy of people. Gay sex, in particular drug fueled gay sex, has a higher risk of contracting HIV and other STDs than just vaginal sex. Could have possibly given his wife something.
Not saying if he cheated with a woman that he couldn't have caught something and given it to her but dude was extra reckless. All the talk will be about how brave he is for coming out but not about how reckless he was and how he threw away a promising political career over his sexual foolishness.
Edit: Read a few tweets in that thread and not surprisingly, majority of people are cheering him on. Let that have been with a white woman or a black woman and those comments would have been about black men being reckless, not protecting black women, how he's a sellout, etc.
