Same here. This and Dexter are neck and neck for worst fall-offs. At its height I think Dexter was better than TWD and the last couple seasons were abysmal but at least they were laughably bad and entertaining in a 'train-crash that you can't look away from' kind of way. TWD is just too dull to even get through. I haven't been able to finish an episode in a long time. I clocked out after the Negan baseball bat cliffhanger.
I think he'll be okay, but I don't think he's gonna be a movie star. I think he's gotta stick with TV.
Maybe he can reinvent himself like David Duchovny did after X-Files with Californication. All the top TV guys seems to try to do movies, and most can't make it work.
