I'm happy for Andrew. this is the best thing for his career. playing with lebron woulda stunted his growth. in minny he'll get to grow with a young crew and be the leader. i think we'll look back in 10 years on this trade as the modern day equivalent of Vlade Divac for Kobe. Love is better than Divac, but Cleveland woulda given up a future superstar for a guy who has never been able to get to the playoffs by hisself and plays zero defense.

i look at both sides of this...lebron is in his prime RIGHT now...do you wait 2-3...maybe 4 yrs for wiggins to fulfill his potential? because thats all it is. POTENTIAL....no one knows what this cat could end up being....

then on the other hand you have kevin love...another cat thats thrown up good stats on a shytty team....has never played in a meaningful NBA game...if you exclude all-star games...so......really dont know what hes gonna do under the lights either...they bring love to cleveland...then they are expecting no less than a finals appearance...can he even play under the pressure?

lebron shoulda kept his azz in miami...a few tweeks to that roster and they wouldve been fine....

Or playing with lebron would develop his skills the right way. Instead hes going to a trash team like Parker where he will jack up 30 shots a night and never learn how to play team basketball. Playing under lebron would be the best thing for him.

how would he develop any skills if all he'd be doing on offensive is camped out at the 3pt line waiting for bron to pass him the ball or cutting to the rim everytime? Wiggins weaknesses right now are ballhandling and one on one offense in isolation. playing with LeBron who is probably the most ball dominant player in the league wouldn't help. it would hide those weaknesses and turn Wiggins into an ultimate role playing 3 n d wing player. some people might think that would be fine for him.

I don't. I think he has the ability to be one of the greats and the best player in this league by the time he's 25. For him to become that, he needs to go through the growing pains that every legend did as a youngster as they learn to figure out their weaknesses and develop those skills. That will be exposed in Minnesota, as you astutely put it where he'll be jacking up alot of shots. And that is why it will be best for him.

Nah, i'm not sold on Wiggins being that guy. He'll flourish with LeBron. If Cavs seriously trade him for Love they're fukking idiots, unless the plan is to surround him with nothing but tons of shooters.

no shyt. but he'd be developed into a pippen not a jordan. i think wiggins can be a jordan (aka best player in the league). to do that he needs to play on his own and have his weaknesses exposed early so he can learn to develop them. with lebron his weaknesses in ballhandling and one on one offense in the half court woulda been hidden cause bron would create all the offense for him. some look at this as a good thing. i look at it as a bad thing. it would be good in the short term. but very bad for andrew in the long term.
