I never understood complaints about not being able to be on the phone and surf the web at the same time. Why the fukk would you need to do that?

Meh, it's not that big of a deal.

I didn't have it and listened to AT&T cats big it up as a necessity, then VZW got LTE, and I've probably used that feature once.

I'd trade that functionality for a significantly stronger signal (which is supposedly why the iPhone 5 won't be able to do it on VZW's LTE network) any day of the week

Apple just left that functionality out of the Verizon and Sprint versions.

All versions of the SG3 and One X can do it.

Apple just left that functionality out of the Verizon and Sprint versions.

They didn't just leave the functionality out of the CDMA (spring and verizon) phones, they implemented it in such a way that they it won't work on those LTE networks.

Other 4G LTE phones (like the SG3 and my Nexus) use one antenna for LTE and one for CDMA, so you can talk on CDMA while surfing on LTE. Apple chose to use both antennas to pull one, stronger signal. So no talk and surf unless you're on aGSM network.

In my opinion, if Apple's implementation significantly improves signal strength, then I think it's the right way to go because that talk and surf shyt is overrated. I'd much rather have a stronger signal.

My brother's getting an iPhone5 (tho he claimed 4G was no big deal, and 4 inch phones were too big when he wasted his money on the iPhone 4S ) so I plan on doing side by side comparisons of signal strength.
