obviously theyd have to trade him if they werent re-signing him. considering how much bears got for cutler and how much bengals got for palmer, its a good bet theyd get a good return.

The most rational thing to do is to sell the overvalued Andy Dalton at his highest point, draft a top 3 QB next year and upgrade the squad with high draft picks. The caveat is that the Bengals won't do the rational thing because it might cost the GM and coach their jobs.

This deal seems pretty reasonable. So the bengals are locked in with Dalton this year and next. Then they can cut him pretty much anytime they want. But looking at the base money of Dalton going forward .

$10.5 million in 2016, $13.1 million in 2017, $13.7 million in 2018, $16 million in 2019, and $17.5 million in 2020.

Ravens are fukked. We can move away from this ginger fakkit as soon as 2016. Base pay is less than 15 mil each of the next 3 seasons. If he actually does prove himself and plays at least above average in the playoffs, with this squad that means problems for the AFC and we got a goddamn deal.
