If we want to know who are the best athletes the only way to do that is to remove everything from their specializations and test them purely on athleticism which is speed, strength, agility, jumping, and hand eye coordination.

Get a bunch of pros from the NBA, MLB, Tennis, boxing/MMA, etc and test them.

I guarantee that NFL players are going to smoke everyone because they combine all athletic traits while being far stronger than everyone else.

Saquon will squat 600 lbs, bench 225 for 29 reps, run a 4.4 40, have a 41 inch vertical, then step on the field and do this:

NFL has the best athletes hands down and it's stupid to argue otherwise.

:dahell: did you even read his post?

Nobody said anything about the NFL being inferior. Who you even arguing with?

And that test wouldn't even work, because to remove all specialization you'd have to select the athletes randomly. That means you'd have 400 lb lineman and stiff Pocket QBs getting destroyed in almost everything.

He said no sport has dominance. I'm saying the best NFL players are dominant.

What?:mjlol:

Obviously O linemen and QB's aren't the best athletes in the NFL. You wanna add kickers too? The NFL has specialized positions within the sports.

You don't have to select them at random you send the best. DK, Saquon, Tyreek Hill, Bijan, etc. it doesn't even have to be the skill positions as there's freakish athletes at LB and defensive line.

The point is the top athletes in the NFL are superior to the top athletes in any other sport.

Soccer disrespect is crazy here:mjlol:. All it involves is running around huh
In no world is Lionel Messi a better athlete then Dieon Sanders.

In no universe is Cristiano Ronaldo a better athlete then Wilt Chamberlin
I was being polite even agreeing to rank soccer players #2

Go cry about it :heh:

Brolic... Alcoholics

Challenged Gilbert Arenas to a Tennis match. Had Gilbert Arenas juelzing cause he knew the truth

:wow: :wow: :wow:. As of today he still hasn't accepted the challenge

Personally, I have them tied with Boxers :manny:

I'd say boxers. Imagine having to have the reflex to dodge a punch from a man less than a foot away from you and then having to throw the correct punch with hopes that it lands....

But yeah... Going from left to right in hopes of hitting a ball is no fukkin' joke.

Depends on your definition of "athlete" and what factors are taken into consideration. I think football players are the best pure athletes--they have a crazy combination of size, speed, and agility.

If we're talking about physical degree of difficulty, it has to be an MMA fighter/boxer/wrestler. A really good athlete could probably play a 4 hour game of tennis, or a 3 hour game of soccer with no training. But a really good athlete has a zero percent chance of going 12 rounds with a trained boxer or 5 rounds with an MMA fighter without completely gassing out.

Why is Roddikk using endurance as determining the best athlete? Wouldn't that make Ironman triathletes the best athletes, then?

What about track and field?

Would only be the Decathletes/Heptathletes as it covers everything athletically.

1500m is a hard enough event on its own. Now imagine a 6'3+ 190lbs+ athlete over 2 days has already sprinted (×3) thrown (×9) and jumped (×9) the throwing and jumping event have 3 attempts per discipline. Then run a sub 4:30 min 1500m.
