Unfortunate, but the way the migration issue was handled was foolish and she was at the forefront and you can argue that that issue combined with the terrorist incidents that plague the continent over the past few years led partially to the right wing shift over the past few years.
I'm sympathetic and agree some burden should be shared by countries that ruin these countries to take on refugees but a million+ people in a year time span and no sense of screening or attempts to help these people integrate and assimilate to some degree is begging for trouble. I mean take the cultural issue out of it, it's just incredibly negligent to not screen immigration to your country, especially at this scale.
I still think this was the biggest political blunder in recent memory .
