It's really a double edged sword from what I've seen. You have people from both groups who look down on each other thus creating a rift or division.

Regarding the OP, Rye should have been more clear with proclaiming that there black people affected by the US immigration laws as well.

The black and brown unity trope isn't a fully reciprocal relationship. So some black people feel indifferent towards the laws, because the imaginary perception of an immigrant is someone of Latin American descent

There's plenty of threads on this on here regarding this. Matter of fact, my uncle(dad's side) used to talk shyt on AA's, for being too conditioned of accepting white supremacy, and not striving for ownership / entrepreneurship.

Inversely, I've seen AA cats, talk down on Africans for being swagless. I've seen this in real life as well as on here.

I know what you're talking about I just find it ignorant especially on here.

I've also seen the whole AA gang here completely disparage the blackness of people not from the US and history of slavery in the West Indies and South America.

I wouldn't consider those things equal or fair. I also don't see non AA's calling for white supremacist policy actions to deal with AA's.
