Pujols is my favorite. Best first baseman ever is Lou Gehrig

And facts, contract was stupid from the gate. Never sign a player for his 32 and older years. You asking for trouble.

Yea but keep in mind they wanted to pair Young Trout wit a Vet Bat too....if anything the Josh Hamilton ish was worse:picard:

Most of their contracts have been awful.

Ohtani's the only good deal they've signed and that's because Ohtani posted 2 years early. Had he waited he coulda cashed out too.

Should’ve let him retire as an Angel, they save absolutely $0 dollars by doing this. Maybe sit him and come in as a pinch hitter the rest of the way to let him go out gracefully and the few fans in attendance to pay their respect. Hopefully he signs with the Cardinals and let’s the fans shower him with love for all he’s done for the game.

Detroit will be doing the same shyt with Miguel Cabrera soon.

Nah he went with the money like he should have.

pujols got old fast because he’s probably older than he says. A lot of MLB insiders think Pujols is older than he claims
He doesn’t look older than 41.

This. Even if he is pinch hitting I can’t imagine him being a problem in the locker room, and could transition into a leadership role after the season officially ends

Dude is 41. He hasn't been 'good' in years. He's had a hell of a career and has made hundreds of millions he can retire happily as one of all time greats.

Pujols at least 43-44, no way he just 41. He signed that contract at the end of having a monstrous HOF prime and cashed in. He was at least 34 at the time and part of why he fell off so hard :francis:

Dude was legit ass for a decade. He didn't have one 5.0 WAR season during that duration - highest being 4.8 in his first season as an Angel and dropped off a cliff every year since

Made 345 million dollars in salary + 50 million dollars or more in endorsements during the duration of his career :wow:
