Damn and I thought they had recognition and paid decently in Angola. Any reason Angolan players don't really make it to Europe or something?
Not really breh

Or I should say; It really depends on your definition of recognition. 'Cause everyone knows "The Seleção (The Team)" but everybody can't financially help Carlos Morais (I trust you saw why I had faith in the boy), and the people that can are too busy riding that corruption wave most definitely. The income disparity out here is still horrible, so if your basketball association ain't paying you on time...then you either tough it out for the fans or stop playing.
Jean-Jacques was our MJ fam, and it took forever for him to get enough to afford a home...in fact I think he was given a home (some lower middle class house probably unfurnished) after winning two trophies or something. They only acknowledged him because he put in work regardless of how his situation was. The dude literally gave his all to B-ball. 7 championships won with his team...more than enough to put him in the FIBA Hall of Fame.
Well our GOAT is a preacher now

The motto: "I do it for the love of the game" is literal as fukk in Angola. 'Cause if you don't love the sport that you professionally play then I guarantee you will get a heart attack at some point. Most likely before you reach 35.
