let Bret Hart answer a question like that and its all high fives and Bret keeping it real posts
:dahell:
Bret is already being called a bitter old man and has been for years. HITGOAT isn't a whiny bytch like Punk so why even bring him up in an attempt to justify Punk reaction?:mjpls:

:camby:

Bret atleast doesnt sound like a whiny teenager when he gives interviews though. In fact it's almost a level of trolling with Bret.Dude be calm as fukk while shytting on HHH.:pachaha:

Punk is a known dikkhead...Bret gives his opinions yet gets called bitter..yet Bret doesn't act like this in interviews :sas1:

. Punk is an anti-social prick..dude loves confrontation.

Keep HITGOAT out of this discussion

I never read or saw Michael Jordan's interviews when he retired in 1993 and went on to play baseball but I'm positive Sports Illustrated or whoever would have asked a similar question. Can you imagine Jordan reacting like that when someone asked him about his transition from basketball to baseball?! No matter what wrestling is what made CM Punk and what afforded him everything he has now.

To this day, Michael Jordan doesn't speak to Sports Illustrated because of this cover and the article written about his baseball career.

:dead:@ the fact this reads like a Michael Cole interview with:neckbeardjesus:

As far as the 'E - I can't be mad. He walked out on his own terms, half dead, but on his own terms. His whole point about them making no stars other than Cena is pretty valid with this year's WM card.

As for this interview, dude comes off as much of a prick as Conor MacGregor, having never thrown a single punch at pro MMA level. He's obviously working :yeshrug:. Look how much attention being obnxious got Ron. Trump and Gaga - two people way more famous than her were talking about her the moment she lost. UFC feels way more about personal brands than the 'E, in that the fighters have to build and protect their own, rather than giving answers designed by writers to influence the way they're seen. Punk's brand is 'a$$hole'.

He knows that no-one is tuning in to watch the 'I'm Just Happy To Be Here' - ex fake wrestler against the unknown. They will watch a plucky underdog try and take down an undeserving, condescending loudmouth a$$hole, though.

.Just because the fight is a shoot, doesn't mean the rest of the process is

Punk is such a whiny bytch. He's literally done nothing but complain about his time in WWE and about his own fans for 2 years now. That he'd jump into MMA in his late 30s with zero combat sport experience and get asked "Are you nervous" and think it is an attack on him not knowing MMA isn't pro wrestling...the fukk kind of paranoid shythead response is that?

I'm a punk fan, have no problem walking out on WWE, but he does come off like a whiney bytch. He needs to accept the fact people will always know him as CM Punk. You don't have to completely live in the past but you also can't completely turn your back on who you were, life doesn't work like that.

After reading the whole article, I've got a feeling he won't be in the UFC long. He doesn't realize how strong the media is in sports and how they can really make or break your career. I've seen mediocre players and coaches have long careers cause they know how to play the game with the media and I've seen good athletes and coaches out of jobs cause they don't. He doesn't work with the WWE so he can't hide behind being in character. The only people they put up with who are snarky and have bad attitudes are the elite athletes. Even then, once they start to slip the hit pieces about them start to come out too.

Seems like some pathetic shyt to get mad about. Him being upset is already national news (within the industry). He probably did this to get attention, since he knows WWE is in a very vulnerable position right now. It's also like still being angry at an ex you claim to be moved on from. He's not.

So one of those two things is going on, so people bashing the reporter for asking a very simple lead question are asinine and just can't wait to try to bash other posters for their inflated opinions. He's famous. He's famous for working in the WWE, and did it for years. The WWE is in the pro wrestling industry. "How is your training for MMA different from that of pro wrestling??" Very easy pivot to his new main career....move on.

IMO his biggest mistake in all this is going by CM Punk in UFC instead of his real name. Though his wrestling name sells, people are always going to circle back to his Wrestling past. Should have just gone with his real name and kept it moving.

Agree 100% with the bolded. The legitimate sports media isn't on some Double-Talk Ducktale Dave shyt.
