One of my good friend's checking in on me since we've both been staying at the crib the past 2 weeks

Me: Well I got hasty and smashed all of my rocks after learning how to build my hammer after the night of orientation. And I didn't come up with one fukking iron ore to build my workshop. Now I have to sleep this off just to hopefully have another rock show up somewhere on the island tomorrow so I can take a couple whacks and see if I get lucky.

What's up with the save system in this game brehs?

I wanna buy it for my son, but I hear that you cant have separate save files between users and the second user will always be limited on what they can do.

Yes. One island per Switch, so you’ll be sharing your island.
The first person to start the game will be assigned the role of Leader, and they’ll be in-charge of all island development for example: Inviting animals to your island, choosing major projects, advancing the overall development of said island, choosing where buildings will go etc..

Now for everyone else that joins the island will be able to do most of the basic things such as: Choose where to build your house, fishing, mining, catching bugs, cutting/planting trees and flowers, donating bells to ongoing projects etc..

I have no idea. Nintendo can be really weird with their game design.
Non-leader players still get most of the stuff that matters, they just can’t really make any of the big decisions.

Honestly, this game is a slow burn with a big emphasis on daily tasks to build your island up.
Overcooked will give you immediate results, but will likely cause an argument.

Does the 4 different island types have different fruits cuz all I see is cherries in mine? I went to visit that mystery island today and got some iron nuggets. Found someone there and invited them back to the island. Looked like a female but who knows. They did have coconuts on that island. Maybe I'll go back tomorrow or Monday and get some more.
