Yeah, it gets better but while I understand the message of the anime, I fukking hated Vash's philosophy and the way it ended.

When
Nicolas D Wolfwood got bodied I hated Vash for the rest of the series and at the end of it he doesn't even kill Knives... nikka! what the fukk? :mindblown:

I got Badlands Rumble on my PS3 hard drive which I haven't watched yet and I'm looking at it like :birdman: cause I still haven't forgiven him.

Yeah, I hate it had to be him. He was my dude. You should watch Badlands...I won't spoil too much, but it's a decent little joint.

He doesn't even get serious until like the end of episode 5.

I'd say the second half of the series is way better, a lot of the 1st half is just comedy.

That's what I liked about it... the anime and Vash himself was kinda Doctor Who-ish... a silly ass motherfukker that's really gully as hell but has a code of principals that constantly gets tested by his enemies and companions.

yeah, u was like :wtf: cuz i didnt really expect it

I held it together through that montage until his dying words, breh.

:damn: I DID NOT WANT TO DIE THIS WAY!!!! :damn:

I was like "NAAAWWLLL!!!! :sadbron::sadbron::sadbron:"

but yeah, things get unfunny real quick in this anime. It's not made for instant gratification. By the end of the next to last ep, you'll be depressed as hell if you're not careful. It's still one of my favorites.

Only the 2nd anime I ever took the time to collect as it came out.

Oh, if you're expecting to see Vash transform into some head exploding eye shooting monster, then you should stop watching right now.

I was just about to make a similar thread. good thing this one came up.

How come there hasn't been a Trigun remake? I know this thread is supporting the opposite, but Trigun is one of the GOATS imo.

The first half (or quarter) of Trigun is definitely something you gotta work through, which says all the more about how strong the rest is for the series to be the classic that it is today.

And I always liked how Vash never gave up on his principles. Way too many shows/movies/comics already have the "Hero is forced to compromise" shtick, let's be happy one guy gets to remain pure to the end for a change (even at the cost that comes with it).
