And guess who is 1 of the most frowned upon teams by college "purists" still today?

The 1990 Loyola Marymount squad.

A team that put up a lot of points in a hurry and most possessions were under 10 seconds.

There are idiots out there still crying that the shot clock isn't 45 seconds anymore.

Nobody wants to see 20 seconds of passing the ball around the horn, passing up open shots, only to throw up a contested brick as the shot clock expires

Let’s be honest high school kids went to social media and got big before college (lonzo and lavar had a lot to do with it) .. to the point that the NCAA are now “OFFICIALLY” paying players to ball.

I can’t name you 1 college star let alone 10.. at least last year I knew Banchero

There's 363 teams with 13 players.

Every year after accounting for foreign prospects about 45-50 of them get drafted to the NBA.

Then 15 of those dudes can't stay in the league. Another 15 are bench players. Then the rest are starters and maybe 2-3 of them will can be special at a pro level.

The talent gap is simply too much relative to what we know it peaks at.

The appeal of CBB for me was never the quality of play compared to the league. It was the atmosphere, tradition, stakes and passion. Seeing college kids scrape and claw and fight on every possession while student sections chant and the crowd is all wearing one or two colors and screaming after each bucket or losing their minds on an 8-0 run is fun in a way that NBA games arent until the playoffs or a particularly big game. NBA definitely has better shot making and higher skill but the drawbacks are games that can feel monotonous at times filled with mediocre crowds and filler music all game long. I dont watch much CBB now but the draw was never the same thing as the NBA’s draw

That is a bold face lie. There is no way you keep up with conference play and make a proclamation like that
