Men's basketball tournament broadcasts appear twice on the 100 most watched programs in this country in 2022. No NBA games and no women's college games made the list.
NBA still got the international audience so they're not really worries about this. And who said women's college ratings were that high? We only said they've been rising steadily because unlike the men's college game they have players you want to watch.

If women's ratings are rising but still below the men's then maybe talking about their increasing ratings is irrelevant.
It's like crime rates ... if some small town goes from 10 to 20 murders in a year, that's a 100 percent increase.
Some bigger town goes from 1,000 to 1,010, that's a 1 percent increase.

CfB isn't skilled as the NFL.
CBB isn't as skilled as the MLB.
College track aint the Olympics.
There's a huge skill difference in every single sport between the pro and college level.
They aint special in pro basketball

Because March Madness is insanely popular. The single elimination bracket causes a level of unpredictability and tension that make it a fun product to watch.
March Madness is a 3-week single elimination tournament with only 10 days of games. NBA playoffs are a 3 month best of 7 tournament with like 50 days of games. They’re hardly comparable

The point wasn’t to try to hype the NBA playoffs. It’s that the format of those two tournaments are on completely different ends of the spectrum that don’t make them comparable
