The teams in the final four were filled with upperclassmen. The great players need to actually be the ones staying if you want a better product.

That's impossible, colleges coaches are always gonna be colleges coaches, especially ones who never want to go to the pros. It only seems worse in men's because the best players leave as soon as they can. Look at how many people wanted Mulkey to get tech'd up for being on the court the other day.
No one micromanages more than a men's college basketball coach. Just look at how often players look to the sideline to get instructions instead of focusing on the court.
I was shocked when the San Diego state coach didn't call timeout before the game winning basket. Had he called a timeout, they would have lost because he would've drawn up so bullshyt that results in a bad shot or even a turnover.

It would be unfair to the athlete, but definitely a better product…. And the NBA would benefit from having more polished rookies….
If Terrance Shannon from Illinois gets through his rape case in May, he is a projected 1st rd pick on some draft boards. I know 22+ yr old rookies are frowned upon by idiots, but he will be ready to play right away.
His case is May 10th, right after the season. I think the girl's lawyer is waiting for him to sign with an agent, then settle
Better product for college basketball. I don't really see how it would be a net positive for the NBA. If the NBA required players to be 4 years from removed from high school (or 22 for international players) like the WNBA does then Wemby, Paolo, Chet, Scottie Barnes, Sengun, Mobley, Green, Kuminga, Cade, Jalen Johnson, etc. would all still be in college or playing overseas. I don't see how their respective NBA teams are better off without them

I wouldn't go all four, but I'd say at least two years. At least you can see what you got in a guy rather than waiting 4 years in the league just to see if he can actually contribute. And I know guys skate on potential all the time, but to me there is a higher chance you can see what you got in a guy faster if he's got at least two years playing college ball. Don't have any stats or anything to back that statement up, just my personal opinion. Then again, it's all a crap shoot regardless.

It wouldn’t really apply to international players in my opinion because most of them have already been professionals for several years and are not “amateur” athletes. American ballers could benefit greatly by staying at least 2 years in a good college program… The only thing is, the current style of college coaching would have to change
