He didnt say you personally spoke to him. He said you personally quoted him, regardless of which of your reps spoke to him.

He did say she asked him, right before he went on stage for a show in Detroit. He declined and went on to do the show and didn't think any more of it. Until the doc came out two years later and she's shytting on him for not participating as if that was either some declaration of support for R Kelly or signifies some fear he had in speaking out against R Kelly.

What she fails to realize is that whether she personally asked him or he amended the facts to make the joke flow better is irrelevant because the point of the joke wasn't about her asking him. It was about her vilifying him for declining to participate. It was about her publicly drawing conclusions about why he wasn't featured. It was unfair and unnecessarily vindictive and for him (and probably the other folks she pulled this shyt with) it was blindsiding cuz declining wasn't some huge decision they weighed in their hearts for any amount of time. They probably decline shyt like this all the time, yet Hampton is trying to paint some nefarious motives behind it. Like they didn't want to publicly say anything negative about their "friend" R Kelly, even in 2017/18 when his grip on the industry was clearly much weaker.

Given the fact that Chappelle made the "pee on you" skits in the height of the controversy, trying to paint him as an R Kelly ally was stupid on Hampton's part. That's why the big punch line was: "I don't know this nikka at all!"
