AI Trucks is not the answer to solve accidents. I think people really underestimate how much hand eye coordination, dexterity, anticipation, etc is involved in driving a truck. Most people assume driving a truck is like

A sensor malfunction would lead to what happens in Waymos, they pull over and call for help. Waymos are also safer than human drivers, significantly so.

I think the plan for AI trucking as of now is primarily about long distance highway driving. Human drivers would take over for last mile.
