I am coming to the realization that progressivism is - like far right conservatism - a net negative for a functioning society because it ultimately leads to certain belief systems infiltrating that should be somewhat banned and looked down upon, but progressivism and social acceptance teaches us it's bad to look down on certain belief systems/practices.

Not every viewpoint of the right wing is bad. A country should be vigilant in protecting its native population from certain foreign ideologies/cultural practices/belief systems that are societal toxins.

They have to weigh the pros and cons, and if they find it to be a net positive, so be it. But, those African countries are dealing with Islamic insurgents and running to Russia for help now.
