Fam, NYC is not a southern state with open spaces. You start shooting and innocent people are getting hit. There'd be an accidental mass shooting every week.

Furthermore, why are you worried about NY when we have some of the lowest gun deaths in the country?

Worry about your state. We're good here.
Oh, I am very active in my state. Does not preclude me from pointing out my opinions on gun laws. Not like you have to worry about my opinion on this issue, since I do not have any voting power in your state. Still, I strongly believe in the 2nd Amendment and the right of my people, Black Americans, to hold and bare arms. So much so that I am a member of NAAGA (National African American Gun Association). So I will champion the idea when the chance arises.

What is the story behind this. Like what could the clerk have done to make these nighas so mad they had to fire off on him not once but twice, especially considering their was time between the first shooting and second

South Ozone Park is what most ppl from outside of NY think NY is.

Down the streeet you got two Guyanese bout to machete eachother, a Chinese man going for the ratchet and two old Gambino dudes reminiscing about the old days.

Most diverse criminality in the boros.

WTH!?

It seems those strict gun laws mean nothing when the criminals can get a hold of guns easily outside of the city. It is again why I am a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment.

I hope they find that shopkeeper's attacker, before that person attempts to harm someone else or even the same shopkeeper again.
guns in nyc is dumb policy.

what city you live in?

Yes, so why then restrict the people who are not criminals from having a means of protecting themselves from the criminals?

1. Do you feel your police force is adequate enough for the job?
2. Do you want to wait on the police to come, after the person with a gun kicked down your door?
3. Are you confident in the protection you receive from a police force that is known for being racist terrorists?

I personally answered no to all of those questions. Some one home-invades, they will get a quick bullet fade. I am glad I have that option to protect my family and my property. I will make sure my daughter has her own gun and shotgun too, once she has her own place.

valid concerns yet we recognize that more guns on nyc streets will actually make things worse.

guns in our subways and buses with over a million riders a day will probably lead to daily or semi-daily headlines of shootings and bystanders being shot.

people fight, shout and beef everyday with dozens or hundreds of others in their vicinity. guns endangers a lot more people than the single person it's intended for.

some posters in this thread are proponents of guns in high density communities when this is whats likely to happen on daily basis should it come to pass.

once a bullet leaves a gun fired in NYC it doesn't stop when it misses it's intended target, it either hits a structure or a person.

go on youtube and check out and nyc neighborhood walking tour to see how many people are out and about.

she was on the next block when the bullet hit her.''

NYC is one of the most high-density areas with a huge population in the country and touts a lower gun crime rate than places with lax gun laws.
