The unspoken damage of boxing

how do people enjoy this shyt

There's no cover up for Boxing, everyone knows the risks, there isn't a single governing body trying to sell you on lies like the NFL does.

Also, millions of little kids aren't doing full contact boxing like they do Handegg -

Why do NFL fans deflect? I understand Goodell & the owners cuz they touchin billions. WTF wrong with some of you? The NFL the only sport in denial. In boxing you know the risks & fights get stopped faster, you get carted off into a ambulance once you get KTFO etc.

Just realize it's gonna take a hit just like combat sports. :yeshrug:

Exactly, people were using Ali as an example of why you shouldn't get into boxing for 30 years, and people have known about being "punch drunk" for more than a hundred years.

Would they really though? The fights are shorter and seem more quick to be stopped due to the low amount of padding. Boxers are taking continuous continuous continuous pounding to the head. MMA doesnt really seem like that, especially with so much focus on ground game.

All it takes is ONE punch. ONE blow to the head. You don't even have to get knocked out.

Boxing is dangerous. Are you saying boxing is disgusting? People are going to shyt on the nfl when they watch boxing. NFL is in the spotlight, I get it, but you got to be fair.

Rypien talks his mental health, suicide attempt

Former Washington Redskins quarterback Mark Rypien, the MVP of Super Bowl XXVI, says he once tried to kill himself -- the result of mental health issues stemming from his football days.

Rypien detailed his problems for Spokane TV station KHQ and The Spokesman-Review, hoping it leads to more awareness of problems from playing football.

"I suffer from a complex stew of mental health conditions," Rypien told KHQ-TV. "Dark places, depression, anxiety, addictions, poor choices, poor decisions, brought about from dozens of concussions and thousands of subconcussive injuries from playing this sport."
